POISONING VALUABLE HORSES
GREENWOOD, Wis., Sept. 3.--A short time since the imported stallion, valued at $2,000, belonging to the Withee estate, was found dead in his stall. The cause of his death was a mystery at the time, but this week a number of heavy draft horses at pasture were taken sick and died, manifesting all the symptoms of poison, and it is now evident that the stallion was poisoned also. There is no clue to the perpetrator of the deed.
